Demented World ("Demented World", "we", "us", "our") operates this online store and sells clothing to customers in Egypt. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

Demented World is a clothing brand based in Egypt, selling online to customers in Egypt only. We do not ship or sell outside Egypt.

We collect only what we need to take your order, deliver it, and support you afterwards.
Information you give us when you order:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Delivery address
• Order details (items, sizes, quantities, order history)
Information collected automatically when you browse our store:
• Device and browser information
• IP address
• Pages viewed, products viewed, and general activity on the store
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see *Cookies and tracking* below)
What we do not collect:
• We do not collect or store your payment card details. Payments are processed directly by our payment providers (Shopify and Paymob). Your card information goes to them, not to us. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded or failed.
We use your personal data to:
• Process and fulfil your order
• Deliver your order and provide you with shipping updates
• Contact you about your order if there is an issue
• Handle returns, exchanges, and customer support
• Send you marketing emails, if you have opted in
• Show you relevant advertising (see *Advertising* below)
• Maintain records of our sales and operations
• Detect and prevent fraud
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the store:
Shopify — hosts our online store, processes orders, handles checkout and payment, and sends our marketing emails. Your order and account information is stored on Shopify's systems.
Paymob — processes card payments made on our store.
Delivery partners — we pass your name, phone number, and delivery address to our courier so that your order can be delivered to you.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — we use Meta advertising tools on our store. See *Advertising* below.
We may also disclose your data where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid request from a public authority.
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use Meta's advertising tools to do it.
This means two things:
1. Tracking on our store. We use the Meta pixel, which records your activity on our store (pages and products viewed, items added to cart, purchases) and shares it with Meta. Meta uses this to show you our ads and to measure how our ads perform.
2. Customer lists. From time to time we upload customer contact details (such as email address or phone number) to Meta to create advertising audiences. This is used to show ads to our existing customers, or to help Meta find new people similar to them. Meta processes this data in a hashed form under its own terms.
If you do not want your data used this way, email us at dementedegypt@gmail.com and we will remove you from these audiences. You can also control ad personalisation in your Facebook and Instagram account settings.
We send marketing emails only to customers who have opted in. Opt-in and unsubscribe are handled through Shopify.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing us at dementedegypt@gmail.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed (such as order confirmation or shipping updates).
Our store uses cookies and similar technologies. These are used to:
• Keep your cart and session working
• Understand how the store is used
• Support advertising and measurement, including the Meta pixel
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may stop parts of the store from working properly, including checkout.
Our products are intended for customers aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may only place an order with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the order and for the personal data provided to us.
If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal data without the consent of a parent or guardian, contact us at dementedegypt@gmail.com and we will delete it.
We keep your order and customer records for as long as needed to run our business, handle returns and support, and meet any record-keeping obligations that apply to us.
Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are required to keep some of it, in which case we will tell you what we are keeping and why.
You have the right to:
• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Ask for a copy of it
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your data
• Withdraw consent to marketing at any time
• Object to your data being used for advertising

Your data is held on the systems of our service providers, including Shopify. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage online is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the date it was last updated. Significant changes will be reflected here.
